Primary KPI: one of the key indicators tracked first for this country.Average pupil score on the international PISA tests (reading, maths, science); allows education systems to be compared.· 15-year-old students in school, assessed in 2025 in 91 countries and economies. Scores are on each domain's PISA scale.· The rank orders mean scores. When the gap between two countries is not statistically significant (OECD test, 5% level), they cannot be told apart: the rank is indicative.· Low performers: below Level 2, the OECD's baseline proficiency. Top performers: Levels 5 and 6.· Boys − girls gap: positive when boys score higher. Socio-economic gap: score difference between the most and the least advantaged quarters of the country's students (PISA index of economic, social and cultural status).· Change since 2022: significant when the gap exceeds 1.96 standard errors, link error between cycles included (OECD).· Computational problem solving: new 2025 domain on its own scale (OECD mean set at 500). Its scores are not comparable with the other domains.· Albania, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and the United States did not meet one or more PISA sampling standards: interpret their results with care.· China: only four provinces (Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang) take part. The result does not stand for China as a whole.· OECD average of the trend: OECD countries present in every cycle shown, hence a possible gap with the 2025 OECD average.
